Introducing: Friends with (Therapy) Benefits! 🎙️

🌱 I am so excited to share something I’ve been working on for a long time—my new podcast series, Friends with (Therapy) Benefits! Whether you’re a new counselor, an experienced therapist looking to reflect on your journey, or simply someone curious about the world of mental health, this podcast is a space to learn, laugh, and grow together. 🌱

The idea behind Friends with (Therapy) Benefits is simple: therapy is serious work, but it doesn’t have to be delivered in a serious way. Sometimes, the most meaningful conversations happen when we’re at ease, sharing a laugh, and digging into the messy parts of what it means to be both helpers and humans. In each episode, I’ll be diving into topics that are often whispered about among new counselors but rarely discussed openly—everything from finding your therapy style to navigating the imposter syndrome that loves to tag along early in your career.

What You Can Expect:

💡 Real Talk: I’ll share candid stories about my own path as a therapist and what I wish I had known when I started out. (Spoiler: I made a lot of mistakes, and that’s okay!)
🎙️ Tips & Techniques: Each episode will highlight strategies and approaches for building a therapy style that feels authentic, blending evidence-based practices with your unique strengths.
😄 Humor & Humanity: The path to becoming a confident therapist isn’t always smooth, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find humor and connection along the way.

Why Friends with (Therapy) Benefits?

I wanted to create a show that feels like a friendly conversation between colleagues—like grabbing coffee with a friend who just gets it. Each episode will tackle the real-life challenges that come with working in mental health, with the kind of authenticity that I hope encourages new therapists to embrace the journey.

So whether you’re still in school, just starting your first job, or finding your way as a professional, my hope is that Friends with (Therapy) Benefits can be a source of support, solidarity, and maybe even a few laughs.
